Behind every professional, there is a life that has led them to where they are today. As a professional photographer, I am certainly more than just a woman with a camera! I am committed to always taking the time to learn about my clients to ensure that I deliver the final product of their dreams… but I do not often spend a lot of time talking about myself!
I want to share with you where my love for this art began, and how I have found myself now as a photographer in Raleigh, North Carolina. I also want to share my personal interests that shape who I am as a photographer, along with why I decided to specialize in Newborn Photography.
As many parents can probably relate, the birth of my first son brought out the inner photographer in me! I found myself constantly taking pictures of him, with the intent to capture every laugh, giggle, milestone, and special moment… it would be safe to say that I was obsessed! It was at that time that I received my first real camera as a gift. The more time I spent snapping photos, the more I began to realize my passion for photography. I have now been a professional photographer for 15 years, and have been privileged to serve hundreds of beloved families during that time.
I believe that family is the most important thing. It is the most incredible gift that life has to offer! As a photographer, my role is to provide families with a unique experience that is comfortable and enjoyable. To do this, I take time to get to know my clients so that I can tailor their sessions to suit their personalities, wants, and visions. I am passionate about capturing the perfect newborn photo that families will reflect on and love for years to come.
Outside of photography, you will find me spending time with my family. As the wife of my dear husband, the mom of 3 boys, and the lover of my two cats and one dog, I’ve got my hands full! A little fun fact about me: I am the only woman living with 7 male souls, and all my boys’ names happen to start with S! Our days are always busy, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
I am also close to my mom, my sisters, and my nieces. I devote my free time to giant green plants, hot and freshly-brewed, light-roasted coffee, going to the gym, dogs of all kinds, traveling, earth tones, reminiscing over old photo albums, and walking around barefoot.
If you are looking for a photographer in Raleigh, North Carolina, you are in the right place. I look forward to connecting with you!
